My preference for quick imaging is Acronis True Image Server. It images
disks or partitions and compreses the image by up to 70% and is fast.
You are right about vmWare. It is THE most usefull tool for lab work I've
found. When you are through trashing a virtual OS, just delete it and copy
over the original folder that you initially backed up and you're good to go
again. With a dual Opteron and 8gb RAM and SuSE 9.1 as a base secure OS, our
new lab will easily support a virtual 240 subnet. As soon as as their 4.5.2
version comes out supporting 64-bit SuSE that is.
